Overview – FMEA Course
FMEA- Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) discipline was developed in the US army aircraft production in the 1960s. The system has been used as a reliable evaluation technique to determine the effects of Design and Process errors.
In June 2019, two of the leading automotive organizations, AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group, www.aiag.org) and VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie, www.vda.de), jointly published the first publication of the FMEA handbook. This Course; It has been prepared with reference to the last FMEA handbook prepared in cooperation with AIAG-VDA.
Disagn FMEA
It is a tool that analyzes the types of defects that are potentially revealed or with experience gained from existing similar products before the first production and aims to prevent or catch possible errors.
It is used in the analysis of processes and sub-processes. It targets the types of design errors on system functions.
Process FMEA
Process Failure Mode Effects and Analysis ensures that the work flow in a production process is extracted and the possible error types are revealed for each step and corrective actions are implemented without any errors. The changes carried out by AIAG-VDA FMEA have brought a new perspective to Process FMEA.
System FMEA
It aims to analyze the interaction of the system and its subsystems, the effect of possible errors on the entire system, and to prevent possible errors before they occur. The effect of the subsystems on each other and the effect of the system on the environment are also the subject of System FMEA.
The goal of AIAG-VDA FMEA Course is to train the team who will receive responsibility as a leader, expert or member in APQP activities.
